About

My name is Tzanko Stefanov. My hobby and career lie in a realm known as software development. I have played different roles – developer, architect, people manager, project manager, product manager and lately solution architect. The technologies that I have been exposed to range from basic web programming with PHP and HTML/JS, to enterprise system development with Java EE, and lately SAP ABAP development. I have always been fascinated by the technology but not strictly  with the math and algorithms that lie under the hood. Instead I am interested in delivering something of business value, with big market impact and enjoyable by the end users. While doing so I am also aware and concerned of abiding to best practices when it comes to creating scalable, performable and maintainable solutions. But again my motivation is that the products of value must have well thought of architecture and good quality code. I am big enthusiast when it comes to agile software development (for example SCRUM) and early bug prevention (automated unit and integration testing)

I have spent 5 years at SAP Labs Canada assuming different roles in the CRM organization. I have enjoyed it very much, but always felt too far away from home. I was born in Ukraine, but raised in Bulgaria. So, after spending 11 years in my second home country Canada, my family moved to Munich, Germany. I am now working in OpenText and still heavily involved with SAP technologies (among other products OpenText is one of  the biggest SAP partners).

You can find me on Linkedin, XingTwitter and SAP SDN.
